Today the ol’ blog turns three years old. It’s really incredible how much my life has changed since I started writing about it in this format, and I think largely that it’s a good thing. Life has to go somewhere, right? Still, the consistency of the blog has been a really cool thing for me. SO. To celebrate the birthday and to thank you for reading, besides the fact that I gave the blog its obligatory yearly facelift, this year I’m also giving away a special, one of a kind, entirely unique…
Stick figure drawing.
You guessed it. And you know you want it.
It will be drawn on fancy paper and will also come with a good old-fashioned, hand-written letter or postcard. Sent to you through the good old-fashioned postal service.
Maybe you can frame the stick figure and put it next to your Ellington bust. Maybe you can sell it on eBay in order to pay for that new pink melodica you’ve been wanting. The possibilities are endless with art of this caliber:
To enter the contest, tell me (and everyone else) what one record from 2010/11 they must own. Post it in the comments section, and one winner (or maybe two) will be randomly selected a week from today.
On a more serious note, the readership for my blog continues to be comprised of a small and basically consistent group. I really enjoy writing about music, and I’m thankful that I can be a part of this small community. Keep reading, keep working, keep sharing, and let’s go forward.
